Sri Lankan captain Shashikala Siriwardene won the toss and decided to bowl in the match played at Dublin

Pakistan openers Javeria Khan and Nahida Khan were dismissed when the total was just 27 after scoring 11 and 8 runs, respectively.

Nain Abidi and Bismah Maroof lad the innings to almost the end. Abidi got out when the total was 109. She scored 45 off 50, hitting 2 fours. Nida Dar returned to the pavilion in the same over after scoring 1 run and then Qanitah Jalil left the ground for duck. Maroof remained not out on 35 off 35. Pakistan scored 112 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Before Sri Lanka could start their innings, rain stopped the game. However, there was an extra day allocated for the match, so organisers delayed the second innings until tomorrow.

The green shirts have remained unbeaten so far in the event. After trouncing Ireland in the semi-finals, Pakistan have already qualified for the Women's World T20, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh next year.
