Shahid Afridi is among those luckiest players of the cricket world whose careers whenever reached their nadir, luck started smiling on them and they rose like a phoenix from the ashes and shot to stardom once again. We have seen this recently during Pakistan's tour of West Indies where he played a decisive role in the team's win.

Before the series, there was many a question mark hanging over his international career. But now it's not all doom and gloom for the Boom Boom. He's not only hitting the headlines, but the fans and experts have once again pinned their hopes on him.

Even Afridi knows this. After reaching Pakistan on Wednesday morning, he expressed his new desire, which itself is an indicator that he wants to play more cricket. Talking to the media at the Karachi Airport, he thanked Almighty God for helping him cross the milestone of 400 international sixes.

Now the all-rounder says he is eyeing the landmark of 400 ODI wickets and he is confident enough to achieve this goal soon. Afridi has taken 358 ODI wickets until now and he needs 42 more victims. If we look at his total number of international wickets, he has 470 wickets under his belt, including 48 in Tests and 64 in T20s.

Afridi has a desire to set such an all-round record which remained impregnable for a longer period of time – hitting 400 sixes and taking 400 wickets in one-dayers. This would surely help him earn a name in the cricket record book. The number of Afridi's ODI sixes stands at 314, and he surely wants to represent the team for quite a while more.
