According to an ICC press release, both players on Thursday violated ICC’s code of conduct for players during the first Test between Pakistan and South Africa in Abu Dhabi. The charges were levelled against both players by field umpires.

On the fourth day of the Test, Adnan pushed Peterson while picking bail and Peterson pushed Akmal back. Akmal claimed that the Proteas player deliberately put his foot on bail.
