Haier, famous Chinese home appliances maker, will sponsor Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe, and the upcoming Test, ODI and Twenty20 series will now be called as “Haier Cup”.
Haier’s presence in Pakistan’s domestic cricket is quite obvious, but it’s the first time the company is sponsoring an international cricket event.
Interestingly, the cups logo depicts Pakistan’s all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who will be representing the team in one-dayers and T20s but not in Tests. So Afridi’s fans are not going to miss him anyway.
Though Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet officially announced the tour’s sponsor, Cricnama has obtained the logo through its sources, and now presenting it to its readers.
The tour officially starts from August 23 with the first T20 to be played at Harare.
