Pakistan cricketers marrying foreign women is not a strange news. From Mohsin Khan to Shoaib Malik, there is long list. Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram is the latest to join the ranks as he has decided to tie the knot with an obscure Australian woman.

According to Australian daily Herald Sun, he has decided to make Shaniera Thompson, 30, his other half. The report says t Thompson is a public relations consultant and will settle in Pakistan after embracing Islam.

Akram met Thompson in 2011 and he himself proposed her.

The 47-year-old pacer first married to Huma Wasim in 1995. They had two children – Taimoor and Akbar – together. Huma died in a Chennai hospital in 2009.
