After the approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No Objection Certificates to all Pakistani players for Sharjah Sixes 2013.

Earlier, the PCB denied granting NOCs to players who are participating in the tournament. The board had stated that it could not allow players to take part in the tournament because it did not know whether the tournament was authorised by the ICC. Surprisingly, the board’s statement came at a time when Shahid Afridi and Ahmed Shahzad had played one match apiece.
Afridi, Umar Akmal, Hammad Azam, Rana NAveed-ul-Hassan, Haris Sohail and other Pakistani players are participating in the tournament, started on May 20.
Had the ICC not given the green light to the tournament, Afridi would have come under a disciplinary action as he had played a match without an NOC from the board. Cricnama has learnt that the ace all-rounder played for Dubai Lions in Ajman Cricket Tournament and scored 38 runs.
Sharjah Sixes 2013 continue till June 1 and including the hosts, 48 teams from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan are taking part in the tournament.
